Coastal Resilience Grants Available
We are seeking proposals to plan and prepare for enhanced community resilience to coastal hazards in coastal southeastern Wisconsin – the counties and municipalities adjacent to Lake Michigan in Ozaukee, Milwaukee, Racine, and Kenosha Counties. Ideal projects will proactively address coastal resilience needs identified in a community Coastal Resilience Self-Assessment and could include the following:
- Assess existing practices or plan improved practices to reduce coastal hazard risk
- Develop, evaluate or revise coastal hazard strategies or community plans
- Provide education and outreach on coastal resilience to the public
Projects are encouraged to leverage data and outreach products being produced by the Coastal Resilience Team. For more information on these resilience resources, see https://sewicoastalresilience.org/resilience-resources/
The following materials are needed to apply for the Coastal Resilience Grant funds. Please read all materials carefully for instructions and eligibility information. Applications are due Friday, October 5th, 2018.
The Resilience Grant Team will be available to meet with applicants to review results of the Self-Assessment and discuss grant proposal ideas. Please contact Adam Bechle to arrange a meeting.
